If you're running a business or scaling a brand, having the right platform to create and manage your custom swag can make all the difference.

Whether you're building a company swag store, sending branded merchandise to new hires, or automating corporate gifting campaigns, your swag solution needs to be more than just a catalog of products—it needs to work for your business.

Swag.com has made a name for itself by offering curated corporate swag and streamlined tools for sending out personalized gifts across the globe.

With integrations like Shopify and Zapier, it’s ideal for companies looking to automate their swag distribution with style.

But while the platform may be a go-to solution for branded swag items, it’s not the perfect fit for every team or business model.

In this guide, we’ll highlight Swag.com’s key strengths, explain why some companies are seeking alternatives, and introduce 13 standout platforms that offer everything from automated gifting and white-label swag stores to powerful print-on-demand tools built for both businesses and creators.

Swag.com's Standout Features

Swag.com isn’t just another merch vendor—it’s the VIP section of branded gear.

Think premium products, tech-powered automation, and a dashboard that feels more like a digital command center than a supply closet.

Whether you’re onboarding new hires, hyping a product drop, or surprising a loyal customer, Swag.com helps you deliver that “oh dang, this is actually cool” moment.

Here’s what sets them apart:

  • Curated Product Catalog: Only the top 5% of products make the cut, so you’re not handing out cheap swag that ends up in the trash. It’s quality over quantity—always.
  • Automation Tools: Set it and forget it. Trigger swag drops through integrations with Shopify, Zapier, Salesforce, and more.
  • Swag Distribution: Whether it’s one box or a thousand, Swag.com ships globally with options for fully custom swag kits and branded packaging.
  • Inventory Management: Real-time inventory tracking, auto-replenishment, and warehousing mean you’re never scrambling at the last minute.
  • Customer Support: Need help sourcing something niche? Their team is swag-obsessed and ready to bring your vision to life, quickly.

Why You Might Want a Swag.com Alternative

When it comes to merch platforms, Swag.com does have a lot going for it, however, it’s not a perfect match for everyone.

If you’re a scrappy startup, an indie creator, or just someone who values full creative control, you might find yourself bumping into a few walls.

And while the platform is built for polished enterprise swag campaigns, it can feel a little rigid (and pricey) when you’re trying to scale on your own terms.

Below are a few reasons you might want to explore some alternatives to Swag.com:

  • Limited Creative Flexibility: With a curated catalog, you're often stuck choosing from what’s available, leaving little room for wild, one-of-a-kind ideas or white-label designs.
  • High Minimum Orders: Ideal for bulk swag, but less suitable for those just starting out or requiring smaller runs.
  • No Built-in E-Commerce Storefront (unless you use Shopify): Want to sell merch directly from your own branded site? You'll need a third-party tool to pull it off.
  • 5% Product Markup and Fees: That premium experience comes with a price tag, which can be tough for teams on a tight budget.
  • Limited Print-on-Demand Options: It's more suited to buying and storing swag in advance rather than creating it on the fly.
  • No Membership or Exclusive Content Tools: Unlike platforms made for creators, there’s no native way to offer members-only drops or digital perks.

Founded in 2001, the platform has scaled from a family-run shop into a nationwide printing powerhouse, operating out of state-of-the-art facilities across California, Texas, Kentucky, and even India.

Their in-house equipment rivals any major commercial printer, allowing them to produce everything from business cards and postcards to retractable banners, branded t-shirts, signage, stickers, and brochures—all with some of the lowest per-unit prices in the industry.

Unlike Swag.com, which focuses heavily on curated swag kits and corporate gifting campaigns, GotPrint sticks to the essentials: high-quality printed products, lightning-fast turnaround, and bulk discounts that stretch your marketing budget.

It's ideal for brands who want to stock up on marketing materials, event signage, uniforms, or branded apparel, without getting bogged down in tech integrations or swag logistics.

The platform also offers budget-friendly custom design services, allowing customers to collaborate with professional in-house designers to create flyers, logos, or even an entire brand kit from scratch.

What to Look For in a Custom Swag Platform

Choosing the right swag platform for your company isn’t just about ordering branded hoodies or printing your logo on mugs—it’s about creating a consistent, professional brand experience from design to delivery.

Whether you're outfitting your team, launching a company store, or sending high-quality giveaways to clients, the right tools can streamline operations, boost engagement, and turn your swag into a true brand asset.

Below, we break down the most important features to look for in a platform that can help your company design, manage, and sell custom swag at scale.

Product Catalog Variety

Your community deserves more than just t-shirts. Look for a platform that offers:

  • A wide range of product types—think apparel, mugs, notebooks, bags, hats, tech accessories, and more
  • Eco-friendly or sustainable options if that aligns with your brand values
  • Access to premium or retail-grade brands like Stanley, Bella+Canvas, or Nike

Remember, more products = more ways to monetize and expand your brand.

Design Tools & Product Customization

Your brand is more than just a logo—it’s a vibe. Look for platforms that offer:

  • On-site design editors or drag-and-drop tools
  • Mockup generators so you can preview products in real time
  • Custom placement options for front, back, sleeves, tags, and more
  • Support for transparent PNGs, embroidery files, and all-over prints (e.g., sublimation)

Bonus if they offer Pantone color matching or creative services to help elevate your designs.

Built-In Storefront or Marketplace Visibility

If you want to start selling right away without building a website from scratch:

  • Choose platforms with built-in storefronts (like Fourthwall or CafePress)
  • Look for SEO-friendly listings and social sharing tools
  • Some platforms offer exposure via marketplaces, putting your designs in front of more buyers

No web dev skills? No problem. The platform should let you go live with a polished storefront in minutes.

Global Fulfillment & Shipping Options

Swag that doesn’t ship is just a design. Prioritize platforms that offer:

  • International fulfillment centers to speed up global orders
  • Flat-rate or transparent shipping costs
  • Real-time order tracking for both you and your customers
  • Dropshipping and on-demand production to minimize inventory costs

Automation & Integrations

Managing orders, emails, and analytics manually is a full-time job. Look for:

  • Automated order syncing with Shopify, Etsy, or WooCommerce
  • API access for custom workflows
  • CRM and email platform integrations (e.g., Mailchimp, Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Print-on-demand automation that triggers orders the second someone checks out

Pricing Transparency & Margins

Your profits matter. Make sure the platform offers:

  • Clear base pricing for each product
  • Flexible royalty or profit margin settings
  • Low or no monthly fees, especially if you’re just starting out
  • Bulk discounts or wholesale pricing if you’re ordering in volume

Also, watch out for hidden charges like handling fees, custom packaging fees, or high commission rates.

Packaging, Kitting & Branding Options

Swag should feel like a gift—even when it’s just merch. Platforms that go the extra mile offer:

  • Custom packaging, like branded boxes, tissue, stickers, and tape
  • Swag kitting services for bundling multiple items into one cohesive package
  • White-label shipping (no third-party branding on your customer’s package)
  • Personal touches like thank-you notes or QR code inserts for fan engagement

Analytics & Marketing Tools

Data helps you grow. The best platforms include:

  • Real-time sales and inventory dashboards
  • Customer insights, like best-selling products and repeat buyers
  • Promo code generation for sales and social media promotions
  • Email marketing tools, video thank-you messages, or donation buttons

These tools turn your store into more than just a side hustle—they make it scalable.

Support & Community Resources

When tech breaks (or you hit a creative wall), you’ll want help. Look for:

  • 24/7 customer support or live chat
  • Access to tutorials, webinars, or help centers
  • A creator community or Facebook group for tips and inspiration

You don’t need to figure everything out alone, and the best platforms make sure you don’t have to.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to use Fourthwall?

There are no monthly fees, no upfront costs, and no contracts to use Fourthwall. You set your prices and choose your own margins. Here is how our pricing and splits work when you sell:

  • Products from our product catalog. All products in our product catalog have a publicly listed flat fee, which gets deducted from the selling price you set. There are no extra percentages/margins. You keep 100% of profits.
  • Products you ship yourself. No fee (0% fee)
  • Digital products. 3% flat fee
  • Subscription memberships. 5% flat fee

Additionally, all US-based credit card transactions have an added 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee (same as Shopify). Fees vary for PayPal and other providers. Learn more.

How much money do I make on sales from the Fourthwall catalog?

Product costs are listed directly in our product catalog.

If a t-shirt is listed in our catalog at a $10 cost, we will automatically deduct that amount from your profits whenever you make a sale. You can sell products for any price you want.

For example, if you sell the shirt for $22, you'll make $12 in profit on each unit sold. If you sell it for $50, then you'll make $40 in profit on each unit sold.

Does Fourthwall ship worldwide?
