How much does it cost to use Fourthwall?

There are no monthly fees, no upfront costs, and no contracts to use Fourthwall. Creators set their own margins. Here is how our pricing & splits work:

  • Products from our product catalog. The cost of a product from the product catalog (which you can monitor during the design process) gets deducted from the selling price you set. There are no extra percentages/margins. You keep the entire difference.
  • Products you self-source. No fees
  • Digital products. 3% flat fee
  • Memberships. 5% flat fee

Additionally, all US-based credit card transactions have an added 2.9% + $0.30 payment processing fee (same as Shopify). Non-US credit cards have a 3.9% +$0.30 payment processing fee. Fees vary for PayPal and other providers. You can learn more on our pricing page.

Can I order samples?

Yes! Fourthwall helps you to launch an elevated high-quality product line that fits your brand. Whether that is retail-quality merch, bespoke goods, or something else, you should be proud of what you're selling to your fans. That's why we make it easy to order samples directly within the product experience, so you're 100% confident that you're giving your community a product that represents the same level of quality that you put into everything else that you do.

Can I move to Fourthwall from another platform?

Absolutely! Fourthwall is designed to be easy for creators. Our specialized onboarding experience is a huge part of that, and we have dedicated support teams that can help you migrate your site from another platform with ease.

How much money do I make on each sale?

Product prices are listed directly in our product catalog. For example, if a t-shirt is listed at $12, then that's what it costs you. You can then sell it for whatever price that you wish. For example, if you set it to $22, you'll make $10 on each unit sold. If you sell it for $50, then you'll make $38 profit on each unit sold. This gives you the flexibility to set pricing that is most appropriate for you and your community.

Can I sell digital products on Fourthwall?

Yes! Fourthwall allows creators to upload and sell digital products like MP3s, PDFs, ZIP files, and more. However you think about making money as a creator, Fourthwall is here to support you.

Can I move my domain to a Fourthwall website?

Yep. Fourthwall has partnered with Entri, so migrating your domain to Fourthwall should take under 60 seconds.

What is the quality commitment and return policy?

For any product from our product catalog, quality is guaranteed. If there is a print error or visible quality issue with the order your supporter received, we’ll replace or refund it! However, because products are made to order, we do not accept general or sizing-related returns.

Do you ship worldwide?

Yes! Fourthwall works with manufacturing & fulfillment partners around the globe in the US, UK, EU, and AUS. Shipping rates are dynamically determined by the size of package and destination. We work with most major carriers and pass through the true cost of shipping. That means that you can offer low-cost, fast shipping to your fans. Most items have a delivery window of 7-10 days.

Are there any requirements to join Fourthwall?

There are no requirements to join Fourthwall! Anyone can start for free, though the experience is optimized for people who have communities.

Do I need to purchase inventory?

No. You can create products that are either printed-on-demand or as part of a pre-order campaign (i.e. drop), so there's no inventory risk. We also allow you to pre-purchase and manage inventory, but we generally encourage creators to use one of these no-risk models until they've established a clear sales history.

Do I need to sign a contract?

Nope. You're free to use Fourthwall or leave at any time. You can learn more about our policies in our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policy.

Why should I use Fourthwall?

Because being a creator is anything but easy. Not only do you have to keep creating amazing content and engaging with your community, but you're also responsible for figuring out how you'll make money. Most platforms don't pay you by default and even the ones that do don't pay much. It can be a struggle to keep up with everything, even for creators with big teams behind them. And that's where Fourthwall comes in: we make it easier for creators to build their business.

Fourthwall lets creators set up everything they need for their off-platform presence. You can launch a beautiful homepage and link to all of your content, open a shop, sell high-quality products, offer memberships, accept donations, engage superfans, and much more. Fourthwall makes the hard parts easy (we give you drag & drop design tools, handle customer support, manage taxes, etc), so you can focus on building your content and community.

How does Fourthwall handle taxes?

Fourthwall operates as the "Merchant of Record", which means that we're responsible for handling nexus registration, collecting sales tax, and remitting this to US states & other countries. That means you can focus on fun parts like designing merch and promoting your shop.

Does Fourthwall have an API?

Yes. Fourthwall was designed from the ground up to be developer-friendly. You can find all available APIs in our Developer Docs.
