Fourthwall's integration with Etsy

Attention, Etsy store owners!

You can now sync your Fourthwall products directly to Etsy, opening the door to millions of new customers who are already shopping on Etsy’s vast marketplace.

With this new integration, you can list your print-on-demand merch on your Etsy shop while still managing everything from your Fourthwall dashboard.

No more uploading separate product mockups by hand or shipping orders out yourself; this integration makes selling your products on Etsy so much easier.

Here’s how to get started:

Step 1: Connect Etsy from the Apps Dashboard

First, sign in to your Fourthwall account and head on over to the Apps page

Connect Etsy from the Apps Dashboard

Select the Etsy app and click Connect.

Connect Your Etsy Shop to Sync Products

Etsy will ask you to sign in to your account and approve access for Fourthwall. Once you confirm, you'll land back on the Etsy app page with a Connected tag.

Step 2: Add Fourthwall as Your Production Partner

Before you can publish your products on Etsy, you’ll need to add Fourthwall as your production partner.

To do that, go into your Etsy Shop Manager and fill out the production partners page by putting in the following information:

  • Production Partner: Fourthwall
  • Description Title: They do everything for me
  • Location: Venice, California, United States of America
  • What They Do for You: Prints and fulfills on-demand merchandise (apparel, accessories, etc.) and ships orders directly to buyers on my behalf.

Important Note: Be sure to use the exact location as shown. If the location doesn't match, Etsy won't let your listings publish correctly.

Add Fourthwall as Your Production Partner on Etsy

Once you’ve finished filling out your production information, go back to the Etsy app page on Fourthwall and set your production partner panel, listing every partner on your Etsy shop.

Select Fourthwall as your production partner and click the checkmark to set it as your default. If you don't see it right away, simply refresh the list until it appears.

Step 3: Publish Your Product Listings on Etsy

Now that your production partner is set up, you can list your products on Etsy.

Go to the Products and Orders tabs on the Etsy app page.

The Products tab will show all eligible products along with their status. Use the Status dropdown bar above to see:

  • All: every eligible product
  • Live: listings currently published on Etsy
  • Drafts: listings pushed to Etsy but not yet published by you
  • Errors: listings that failed to publish or were deactivated

If your product is eligible for listing on Etsy, click the three-circle icon on the far right and hit Publish.

You’ll then see the listing preview pop up on your page. This allows you to customize product details, showing exactly what your customers will see on Etsy.

Here are the details you’ll be required to customize:

  • Product Title: Up to 140 characters
  • Description: Required before you can publish
  • Tags: Up to 13, with each being up to 20 characters long
  • Etsy Taxonomy: The category Etsy uses to surface your listing in search
  • Margin: A percentage or flat dollar amount added on top of each variant's cost to set your Etsy price (this only affects Etsy pricing, not your Fourthwall shop)
Edit Your Product Listing on Etsy

When you’re finished, click Publish to Etsy. Your product will appear on Etsy as a draft, giving you one final chance to review everything before making it live for customers.

Step 4: Manage and Track Your Orders

Congrats! You’ve successfully synced your Fourthwall products with your Etsy shop.

Now, whenever someone buys one of your products on Etsy, that order will automatically appear on the Orders tab within the Etsy app of your Fourthwall dashboard.

You can click into any order to see its status, items, shipping address, and full cost breakdown.

Fourthwall fulfills these orders the same way it fulfills everything else, and tracking numbers sync back to Etsy automatically once an order ships.

Orders move through four statuses: In Progress, Shipped, Canceled, and Error, with details on what happened and what to do next if something needs your attention.

Manage and Track Your Etsy Orders on Fourthwall

Important Note: If you need to cancel an order, do it on Etsy, not in Fourthwall. Since the buyer paid through Etsy, a cancellation in Fourthwall won't cancel the order on Etsy's end, and you'd still need to issue a refund there.

A Few Things to Know Before You Launch on Etsy

You Get Paid by Etsy Directly

Whenever someone buys one of your products on Etsy, the platform will send the payment directly to you.

Fourthwall then charges your shop balance or whatever payment method you have on file to cover the cost of each product’s production and shipping.

Keep in mind that Etsy also charges its own listing, transaction, and payment processing fees, so you'll want to price your products accordingly to make sure you're still earning the profit you want.

Shipping Rates Won't Be the Same

Etsy doesn't support dynamic shipping rates, only flat fees by region, so Fourthwall sets broad domestic and international rates based on recent order data.

For the most part, you'll come out ahead. However, you can always fine-tune the rates yourself in your Etsy shipping profile.

One Etsy Shop Per Fourthwall Store

You can connect only one Etsy shop at a time, and only listings published through Fourthwall appear in your Products tab.

This means anything you created directly on Etsy stays managed on Etsy.

You Can Only Sell Physical Products

As of now, you can only sell physical products like apparel, drinkware, and accessories that Fourthwall prints and ships for you.

Digital products and gift cards are currently not eligible, as are self-fulfilled or self-sourced products that may not meet Etsy’s requirements for production-partner listings.

Tokens Do Expire, But Nothing is Lost

If your connection lapses, you'll see a Requires reconnect banner. Click Reconnect Etsy shop to re-authorize, and your shop, partner setup, and listings all pick up right where they left off.
